Sport Tech for Good - a key note from the Norwegian Confederation of Sports.

Co-creating a sustainable digital ecosystem

The best way of predicting the future is to invent it. How can we make sports accessible, safe and relevant for everyone? Today we invited European sport tech innovators to the effects of our digital strategy - and to discuss how to best support our journey of creating an inter-connected sustainable digital ecosystem in harmony with Norwegian Sports' strategy and "code of conduct" - and the rest of Europe - in order to be future ready and create an easy entry for everyone to an active life in a borderless digital world.

What choices that we do, or do not do, TODAY

will impact and shape the world

TOMORROW?

These were questions we raised and aligned in our key note in "Idrettens hus" (Ullevaal Stadium, Oslo) to a visiting European sport tech audience from more than 10 countries, opening day two of a kick off seminar "SF4SPORTS"; a 36-month innovation program for sport tech, funded by EU.

From our youngest generations already being born digital native in a rapidly changing world driven by how we use technology - we need to make sure we move forward in a responsible manner and pace - technology, screen usage and sports can go hand in hand. In this way we can still contribute to stay relevant  - and we need to test, learn and participate in shaping our new future. The best way to understand our position and unique responsibilities and shortcomings in this new realm - is through cooperation and team work. Just as in sports itself - sports should be a place for everyone to belong - also digitally.

Daniele Conte (picture above) - Associate Professor at the University of Rome, sharing insights from his research in our summit. The university is strongly committed to promoting the ethical value of physical activity and sports to respect and enhance all the aspects of a human being. It is the only Italian university entirely devoted to sports.
